• Listened to inbound Rotary Exchange Student, David Wu, from Taiwan, as he spoke about his holidays and his last few weeks in review
• Had Director of Membership, Paul Barber, induct two new members into the Rotary Club of Summerland. Welcome Megan McLeod and Nancy Wilson!

Megan, who was joined by her fiancé, Tim Gray, is a Lawyer at Pearce Schneiderat in Penticton.

Nancy, who was joined by her husband, Mike Kosmack, is the President/Director of CNJ Lighting Solutions and is a retired member of the RCMP.

• Learned from Carolyn Huston about her project in Bangladesh called Canadian Leadership Assistance Program or CLAP which provides a way for the next generation of Bangladesh to look forward to a better tomorrow

Later on in the evening, Aart Dronkers presented Carolyn Huston and Holly Walton of CLAP with the coveted Rotary Club of Summerland mug as a thank you for being our guest speakers for the evening.

President-elect, Mirjana Komljenovic, spoke to the group about exciting draw she has organised to raise funds for our Club. Each $5 donated gets your name entered in to win tickets for two (in the ABK Restoration Suite) to any regular weekday draw at the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Available draw times include 9am, 2pm or 7pm from January 29th until February 2nd. The draw for the tickets will be made at our evening Rotary meeting on Tuesday, January 23rd!

At the end of the evening, Rotarian and Director of Youth Services, Bob Van Balkom, presented a late Christmas gift to David Wu. A Team Canada hockey jersey :)
