Update from Peter Shultz - Conference 2017 News!

Well we are down to 2 months before District Conference 2017!!  Registrations are already higher than any of the last 5 years, and for those of you on the list congratulations! This will be an outstanding celebration of our year, and here are some highlights (CLUB LEADERS note last two items please):

 

(1) Inspirational Presentations:  Our District Governor Vern Nielsen has said "Any one of the 5 Plenary Keynote Speakers booked for this District Conference could be the Plenary Keynote at the International Assembly for incoming District Governors in San Diego!!"  For more info click on the image:

 

 

 

(2) Fun!!! A great time to re-acquaint yourself with some of your friends in the district, or make new friends.  Home hosting dinner to meet and enjoy new friends Friday night!  Welcome dinner Thursday at the historic Laurel Packing House.  Golf, hiking, wine tours, cycling... and much more!  To check it out click:  FUN!

 

 

(3) Rotary Leadership:  Here is a GREAT idea!  International Service Director Carol Eamer from the Rotary Club of Kelowna is inviting ALL INTERNATIONAL Club Directors to come and join her for a special meeting on Friday afternoon.  See the attached invitation, and any other groups (Foundation? Membership? Service Projects?) that want to have a group meeting let me know, I'll find you a room!

 

(4) Recognition & Awards:  Don't forget DG Vern's special award for "Friendship & Fellowship".  Vern requested that EVERY Club submit a name of an active Rotarian in your club who has demonstrated through their actions that causes people to join and to stay in Rotary (see page 52 of the District Directory)!  PLEASE REMIND your President and Board to select the recipient ASAP and submit the name to District Awards Chair PDG Jim Adamson:  jncadamson@gmail.com
