Sylvia Mott (L) eating currywurst with friends at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Germany

It has now been three months since I arrived in Germany - it’s hard to believe that I’m already a third of the way through my exchange! I have done so many things, and the truth of the saying “time flies when you’re having fun” is really coming home to roost with me. The realization of having only 2/3rds left is a little sobering, but a good reminder for me that I need to take advantage of all opportunities available to me. And what opportunities there are! Over the course of my stay, I have had the good fortune to take part in German festivals, go on school field trips, volunteer with my local Roteract club, go travelling with my host family, and more… Including, of course, an amazing 2-week tour of Germany with my Rotary district. Here is a photo of myself on the Germany tour, eating currywurst with friends at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. Wow, I've been to Berlin - pretty incredible!

It is lovely to read about your goings-on the newsletter, and I would love to hear from anyone who wants to email me with questions, suggestions of things to do in Germany, or an update on the Club. I wish you all success with your current projects and joy in the upcoming holiday season!
