Summerland Rotary supports Summerland Secondary School's Annual Math Awards

Rotarian, Don Gemmell, presented a cheque for $500 to Duncan Millar, Math Department Head at Summerland Secondary School, on Friday morning. Summerland Secondary School (SSS) recognizes student achievement in mathematics at their awards night at each year and the Rotary Club of Summerland takes great pleasure in supporting this and other initiatives at SSS. The donation $500 donation covers the costs of the "Rotary Math Awards" which are given out to recipients so that they and their families can keep and mark their accomplishments in the area of mathematics.
