Summerland Rotary supports annual Youth Wellness Retreat

President-Elect of the Summerland Rotary Club, Chantelle Meriam, was pleased to present a cheque of $3000 to Summerland Secondary School, Counsellor, Kim Wise, and two of her students who participated in this year's annual Youth Wellness Retreat. The retreat was a fantastic success with 49 participants attending the function at Green Bay Bible Camp in West Kelowna earlier this week.

This year's Wellness Retreat featured student led workshops on wellness and teambuilding; a discussion on the power of words and kindness; yoga, outdoor games and connections to nature; and the creation of safe spaces for youth at school and in the community. This was the fourteenth year the retreat has been held in partnership with the Rotary Club of Summerland.
