President-Elect, Chantelle Meriam, enjoyed a busy weekend away in Seattle last weekend for Rotary's annual Pacific Northwest Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETs). The premier leadership event had more than 700 Rotarians in attendance including incoming Club Presidents, District Governors and Assistant Governors.

The weekend included six Plenary Sessions featuring six keynote speakers:

John Matthews, Rotary International Director-Elect - “Taking Care of Members…the Costco Way"
Ann Lee Hussey - “Polio–Past, Present, Future”
Nancy Hughes - "Cooking Shouldn't Kill"
David Bobanick - “Rotary First Harvest- A Testament to the Power of One Rotarian to Change the World”
Rick King, Past Rotary International President - “The Uncommon Leader”
Dean Rohrs, Rotary International Director - “One Rotarian’s Story”
After the Friday and Saturday evening Plenary Sessions, Rotarians from District 5060 gathered for some hospitality in our District's Suite.
District 5060 is an international district of 57 clubs and approximately 2,760 Rotarians in central Washington, USA, and south central British Columbia, Canada. It covers a distance of 550 miles (890 km) from Clearwater, BC, in the north to Prosser, WA, in the south. Principal cities are Yakima and Wenatchee in Washington, and Kelowna and Kamloops in British Columbia.

All in all, the Presidents-Elect Training Seminar was a motivating and inspiring weekend full of friendship, fellowship and fun. See additional photos taken from the weekend training on Facebook here.
