Evening Rotary Meeting - April 2, 2017

 

Thank you to everyone that came out for our May evening dinner on Tuesday, May 2nd. Club members and guests heard from our very own, Ellen Walker-Matthews (L), who noted a bit of history of the Giants Head Grind. Keith (top) presented a draft for the Giants Head master plan. Joanne Malar (R), Manager of Parks and Recreation, thanked the Rotary Club of Summerland for their efforts in the community.

Later on in the evening, Preston, Ellen and Roch presented Joanne with a cheque to the District of Summerland to support the continued upkeep and improvement of the trail system in Giants Head Park. The funds were raised through the annual Giants Head Grind - Christopher Walker Memorial Race.
