Andrew Carnegie once said if you want to be successful at any business become a student of that business. Rotary is no different. To be a more effective Rotarian become a student and learn all you can about Rotary. This weekend was an opportunity to do just that. On October 28-29th of this past weekend, our Rotary 5060 district put on its annual training weekend at Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos. The weekend combined the district leadership seminar, district team training, as well as the district assembly.
Friday evening included a wine tasting reception, followed by dinner with a keynote speaker, Sean Hogan, from the North Delta Rotary Club.
Saturday included time on the agenda where our District Assistant Governors provided a brief report on some of the great things happening in each of their areas. The day also highlighted various club events, projects, and fundraisers happening throughout our district. It was a great weekend full of friendship, fellowship and fun! If you missed this years event, be sure to join us for our next District Training Weekend that will be taking place next fall. Details will be available closer to the event. Our annual District Development Weekend is an event you will not want to miss!
